I received Swedish massage certification at the Massage Therapy Center in 2001-02, and have practiced professionally for 8 years. My bodywork also incorporates acupressure, Shiatsu, Thai, Trager, Reike, body-mind centering, deep tissue and joint mobilization techniques, and is inspired by yoga, qigong, dance and breath practices.
I have a gift for holding safe space and communicating with body tissues and subtle energies. My practice focuses on the breath, aiming to increase awareness within the body, while feeling through tensions and easing into release. I often work on the edge, between pleasure and pain, where experience is the most rich and release the most profound. While it is possible to passively receive a massage, you will gain much more from the experience by approaching your bodywork session with me as an informative interaction.
